KIDS SUMMER PROGRAMS
KIDS CLUB - for children with disabilities. Meets Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Fee $125 for entire 6 weeks. There is an additional fee of $25 for anyone NOT living in the Hendersonville City Limits.

SUMMER FUNTASTIKS - for children ages 5 – 12 (Age as of June 1st of current year.) Meets Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4 PM
2013 Information
Fees: $310 for entire 6 weeks (check payable to City of Hendersonville)
$40 additional fee non-residents
$16 for shirt and bag (Check payable to HOA)
Registration Dates: April 11th & 12th -- for previous years campers only
Saturday April 13th - 9:00 am - 11:00 am @ Parks Dept. for anyone wishing to attend the camps. OPEN Registration will from Saturday, April 13th until all vacancies are filled.
Camp Dates: June 10th - July 19th, 2013
- Runs for 6 weeks
- Meets at Whitten Elementary (formerly Wessington Place)
- There are additional charges each week for field trips ($10-$15 average)
(Children generally go: bowling, skating, swimming, putt putt golf, family fun center, may eat out, etc.)
- Children are to bring snack/lunch/drinks daily
- Camp fee has to be paid at time of registration and all fees are non-refundable

Other Annual Programs:
Pre-School Track Meet - This event is held each fall at Drakes Creek Park Football Field. It is a 1-day event that consists of a 25yd dash, mini hurdles, and tennis ball throw for children ages 3-5. In addition, there is an optional mini-mile run. Each child will receive a t-shirt and there will be ribbons for the winners in their specific age division. Parents are welcome to bring your camera and take pictures.

Spring Fling at City Hall – mid-April of each year--- Each child can play games in the various departments and receives prizes and candy. Children bring your containers and parents bring your camera to take pictures. Different characters could be found roaming the hall.

Halloweenfest at City Hall - Children are invited to dress up and Trick-or-Treat at City Hall from 3 PM – 5 PM on October 31st. (If October 31st falls on a Saturday or Sunday, this will be held the Friday before). There may be activities set up for the children to participate in. Halloweenfest activities for City Employees take place on this day as well.

Lunch with Santa - takes place usually first Saturday in December. Children have lunch and visit with Santa. (usually 2 slices of pizza, drink, bag of goodies and stocking etc. from Santa ) Fee $7 per child - if eating, $3 per child - if not eating and $4 per adult – if eating. No late sign-ups, everyone must be pre-registered. Registration takes place in the Parks Department.
